A review of the West Northamptonshire Local Development Scheme has been undertaken, and a report was approved by the Joint Strategic Planning Committee at its meeting on 17th December 2009. 

The revised Scheme has now been approved by the Government Office for the East Midlands.

The SELA study does NOT mean that any sites included within the study will automatically become available for development.  It is simply a part of the evidence base that will need to be considered as a part of the plan making process, and all sites within the SELA will be measured against all the other evidence we have collected before any sites are allocated in the Joint Core Strategies in the county and Local Development Frameworks.
